The project is designed with the idea of co-operation between higher education institutions and civil society organizations (CSOs) by applying the socially useful learning model and direct involvement of students and professors into the work of associations for community development.

Through educational workshops, trainings and student work on specific tasks with mentoring support in associations we want to improve promotion and management in associations and increase social responsibility and contribute to community development.

In introductory speech, vice deans Jurica Pavičić, Ph.D. and Božidar Jaković, Božidar Jaković, addressed to the students and emphasized that inclusion in this project for the faculty represents a great challenge and gives students a great opportunity to acquire practical knowledge and additional points. • Implementing a method of socially useful learning includes:
  • the formation of interdisciplinary teams of students from the Faculty of Economics and Business and Faculty of Graphic Arts University of Zagreb in associations that will be based on the use of knowledge gained during lectures at colleges for the specific resolution of marketing, management and promotional needs of associations (e.g. making promotional materials of the association, developing or improving the website, better social media marketing, improving organization management or marketing).
  • During the semester, support will be provided by professors and partner organizations (ODRAZ and Life Potential) and associations
  • Students in associations work for up to three months, approximately 4 hours a week, for a total of 50 hours

Practical work in associations will take place in three cycles:

  • winter semester 2018/2019
  • summer semester 2018/2019
  • winter semester 2019/2019

During the winter semester 2018/2019, practical lessons will be conducted in eight associations involving 16 students.
