CIVINET Slovenia-Croatia-South East Europe Network at the final conference of the MEANING Project

On 13th of September 2018, a conference on sustainable urban traffic and citizen participation was held. That was a closing conference of the international project MEANING - Metropolitan Europeans in the Active Network, Inducing Novelties in Governance, where City of Zagreb participated as one of the metropolitan areas. At the conference, project results were presented and experiences of all cities of the project partner were exchanged. CIVINET members were also actively involved in the conference program within the panel discussion "Innovation for better mobility".

Ivan Šimunec from the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Ante Klečina from the Department of Economy, Finance and European Affairs of Varaždin County and Marko Stančec from the Bicycle Union Association actively participated in the panel discussion "Innovations for better mobility ".

The discussion was moderated by Lidija Pavić-Rogošić from ODRAZ, the Secretariat of the CIVINET network.

Project holder MEANING is the City of Milan, and partners are the cities of Zagreb, Barcelona, Porto, Gdansk, Bari, Riga and the organization of the ALDA (European Organization for Local Democracy). The project is funded from the Europe for Citizens - Democratic engagement and civic participation.
